Carving is a tough job

Anyone who has ever tried it knows that carving can be a tough job, depending on the carving material. The MOAI are too small and the bark material too brittle to be clamped in the workbench. You have to hold the workpiece in one hand and guide the tool with the other. Calluses and the occasional cut or puncture to a finger are normal. But as the saying goes: only the tough get through!

What do you need to carve a MOAI? A few decent tools, of course. We use two round irons, a few smaller chisels and the most important tool is a normal cutter knife. Then we need drills and milling heads to make everything perfect.
